We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, applying the nursing process to plan and implement care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care appropriate to the condition and needs of patients.
- Consult and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide care to patients.
- Establish, review, revise, and follow patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
- Record patient care activities, including assessment, reassessment, and ongoing treatment notes, within the patient's medical record.
- Use a variety of computer systems and operate medical equipment used in patient care.
- Provide patient and family education related to treatment, diagnosis, medications, discharge, and self-care.
- Provide patient care following nursing standards of care in a manner that promotes excellent outcomes, avoids harm to patients, and promotes health and healing.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Associates or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
- Required Skills: Strong computer skills and ability to work with multiple computer systems.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Licenses: Active RN license in the state of TN or compact State RN license with the intent to obtain a TN RN license within 30 days of hire.
