Internship Overview:
The Electrical Engineering Internship offers a chance to engage in problem analysis, design, installation, and start-up phases for various projects.


Interns will have the opportunity to apply their technical training in an industrial setting or with automated manufacturing control systems.

This includes working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), analog and digital motor controllers, and discrete control hardware.

Our interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering practices essential for supporting high-speed automated manufacturing processes.

Opportunities are available in research offices, manufacturing facilities, and across various business divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Generate detailed designs and development assignments.
- Enhance knowledge and skills related to engineering details.
- Execute job responsibilities safely.
- Maintain security and documentation standards.
- Assist in developing solutions and alternatives for assigned challenges/opportunities. Foster an environment where all team members are valued.

Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial. Familiarity with basic statistics and experience with computer applications is advantageous.

Technical Skills Required:
- General knowledge of electrical equipment/systems/controls
- Basic drafting and design skills
- Problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to assimilate and comprehend technical information

Qualifications:

- Minimum GPA of 3.0 cumulative or higher
- Completion of at least 1.5 years of college coursework
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis
- Co-op/intern positions are not eligible for sponsorship; candidates must be eligible for employment in the United States without KC's sponsorship now or in the future
- Previous Co-op/Intern experience is a plus
