Job Overview

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee machinery upkeep for the production team during shifts. Address and resolve line jams, restart operations, and perform minor repairs and adjustments to maintain operational efficiency throughout the 12-hour shift. This includes managing hydraulic systems, basic electrical systems, and conveyor systems.
  • Independently identify, respond to, and adjust machinery as necessary to uphold optimal machine efficiencies.
  • Timely recognition of process issues to minimize non-conformances.
  • Monitor material availability to ensure adequate supply throughout the shift.
  • Strive to reduce scrap production and machine downtime during color changes.
  • Maximize the utilization of regrind materials.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical skills and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Capability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
