Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Yard Truck Driver/Switcher to join our team at FHI. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers on our property, verifying seals, and performing load status yard checks.

Responsibilities
  • Move trailers on the property as directed by customer personnel or systems
  • Verify seals and perform any load status yard checks as required by the facility
  • Perform trailer safety checks, including, but not limited to, sliding tandem axles (if required)
  • Red Tag trailers if needed
  • Maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) schedule for equipment
Requirements
  • Must possess a current driver's license
  • Prior experience moving and backing up trailers
  • Previous switching experience a plus
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions
