We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality diagnostic imaging services for our patients.
As an MRI Technologist, you will work closely with radiologists and other staff members to prepare patients and operate magnetic resonance equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. You will be responsible for positioning patients, setting technical factors, and ensuring the production of high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong communication and teamwork skills. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for MRI exams, including positioning and explaining procedures
- Operate magnetic resonance equipment to obtain diagnostic scans
- Set technical factors and ensure the production of high-quality images
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and other staff members to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited school for Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- 2 years of healthcare experience preferred
- ARRT or ARMRIT Registered in MRI, or eligible
