Career Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Intervention Specialist to join our team in the Columbus, Ohio area. This is a hybrid position that offers flexibility to work remotely 2 days/week and 3 days/week on-site in London, Ohio, with potential opportunities to work in other locations within the Columbus area.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist special education students in assessing their abilities and establishing educational and vocational goals.
  • Participate in professional growth activities to enhance subject expertise and instructional delivery.
  • Complete reports and record keeping as required by state and local policies.
  • Maintain expertise in teaching subjects and provide direct and indirect instruction.
  • Evaluate student progress and prepare individual achievement reports for parents.
  • Create an engaging learning environment and manage the Learning Center effectively.
  • Serve as a student advisor, organizing advisory groups and overseeing academic and behavioral progress.
  • Communicate high expectations for students and show interest in their progress while protecting confidential information.
  • Foster a rapport with students, staff, parents, and the public.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Intervention specialist license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Pleasant and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Apple Products.
