Position Overview

Focused Staffing Group is seeking a Qualified Educational Psychologist

COMPENSATION: Competitive hourly rate available

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

Essential Qualifications:

  • Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Educational Psychology or a related field (e.g., MA, C.A.S.)
  • Must possess or be eligible for State Certification as an Educational Psychologist

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and support educators and school staff on classroom management and individual student requirements
  • Engage in pre-referral problem-solving initiatives (e.g., academic and behavioral MTSS)
  • Conduct thorough psycho-educational evaluations for current and potential special education students
  • Communicate assessment results and diagnoses to educational staff, families, and students (as appropriate)
  • Perform Functional Behavior Assessments and assist in the creation of Behavior Support Plans
  • Utilize data and research to determine necessary supports and modifications for student success
  • Analyze and report behavioral data to relevant stakeholders
  • Offer individual and group counseling services as required
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support, including participation in risk assessments
  • Attend IEP meetings, presenting assessment findings and contributing to decision-making processes
  • Facilitate and deliver professional development opportunities within the school or district
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Standard Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the selected candidate
  • Completion of a Tuberculin Test and physical examination
  • Mandatory Direct Deposit of salary
