Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Associated Packaging Incorporated. This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Gallatin, TN.

Job Summary:

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist will play a critical role in developing and leading the company's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive EH&S program that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks and implement corrective actions to mitigate these risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of hazardous materials, OSHA logs, and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to develop policies and procedures that promote a healthy work environment.
  • Support customer risk management requirements by submitting data and reports as necessary.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in EH&S, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve using a structured approach.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.

Work Environment:

This role will be based in a warehouse environment with some office responsibilities. The noise level is usually moderate.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
