We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients, particularly in the area of early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide short-term therapy to children and their families.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address a range of mental health issues, including developmental, educational, and psychiatric concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
- Provide parent training and behavior management techniques to help families develop healthy coping strategies and improve their overall well-being.
- Work closely with schools and community services to advocate for children's needs and provide consultation services to other members of the medical team.
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology, or Neuro-Psychology from an accredited graduate program.
- Two years of satisfactory full-time experience in a hospital, penal institution, social agency, clinic, court, school, or other agency or institution, under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist or Psychiatrist.
- Completion of the equivalent of three semester credits from an accredited graduate school in each of the following: personality testing, individual intelligence testing, psychopathology or abnormal psychology, and psychological and/or behavioral intervention.
- Two-hundred-and-forty hours of experience, under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist, in each of the following: personality testing, individual intelligence testing, and psychological and/or behavioral intervention.
- Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Department of Education.
