Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RF Module Design Engineer to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. As a key member of our multi-discipline engineering community, you will be responsible for designing custom parts and working with a mentor to support your growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to support fully integrated front-end module designs.
  • Drive team effort for tape-outs/BOM lock to meet project milestones and customer deliverables.
  • Collaborate with PA/SW/LNA/HBT die designers to develop die size, pinout, and register maps.
  • Review and assist in collecting automated test data, mini-CM/full-CM review, and characterization data to drive yield improvement.
  • Organize lab tuning and bench data measurement activities for product development and customer samples.
  • Coordinate BOM with program managers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering + 5 years of experience or MSEE + 3 years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience in MCM artwork, EM simulation, and lab debug and tuning.
  • Strong communication and logic reasoning skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and execute to schedule.
  • Capability of breaking down customer specs to sub-component level.
  • Strong circuit simulation skills using Agilent ADS/GoldenGate/spectreRF and 2.5/3D EM tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good understanding of RF systems and familiarity with wireless standards.
  • Solid understanding of device and process technologies.
  • Experience in system architecture, circuit topology, and MCM floorplan.
  • Experience in FEM product development and customer interaction.

Skyworks offers a competitive salary range of $89,100 - $172,100 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, and employee stock purchase plan.
