About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at U.S. Pipe in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and perform complex mechanical repair work, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance work to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Work with assigned team members to overhaul equipment and perform major repairs.
  • Check equipment after repairs to ensure correct adjustments.
  • Install equipment and direct the use of oxy-acetylene and welding equipment as needed.
  • Perform lubrication work and maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as an industrial mechanic.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and service manuals.
  • Developing mechanical knowledge to stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance techniques.
  • Strong safety consciousness and ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
