Windows System Administrator

Innova Solutions is seeking a skilled Windows Admin to join our team in the St. Louis area. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position with a duration of 6 months.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly experienced Windows Admin with a strong background in Windows Server management, VMware, and PowerShell. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our Windows and VMware environment, working closely with our Windows Lead to ensure seamless platform management.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure, manage, and support Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 installations, deployments, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Install and configure hosts ESXi/vSphere, Virtual Center, and virtual machines creation.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures for Windows Server management.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members.
- Manage patch management and change control.
- Perform authoritative and non-authoritative restore operations.
- Manage, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Active Directory.
- Configure automatic updates for network clients using Group Policy.
- Monitor ticketing systems for new tickets and work items, and update existing tickets.
- Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues and escalate accordingly.
- Daily monitoring of servers, including Domain controllers, Application servers, and VMware environment.
- Monitor and manage backups and restorations.
- VDI experience preferred.
- Experience with legacy operating systems preferred.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols (e.g., SSL, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.).
- Maintain documentation and IT inventory.
- 5+ years of Windows Administration experience.
- Powershell experience desired.
