The Cased Hole Field Engineer will report directly to the Operations Management team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Possess a solid understanding of heavy equipment operations utilized in wireline services.
  • Complete all necessary training qualifications pertinent to the role.
  • Participate in the planning and preparation for designated well site operations.
  • Supervise all pre-job load-outs, inspections, and equipment readiness prior to dispatch.
  • May conduct services such as Cement Bond Logs, Gamma Ray Logs, and Noise/Temperature Logs based on training and expertise.
  • Ensure efficient operation of perforation and setting services related to completion activities.
  • Lead and mentor team members in adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Prioritize safety for all personnel and equipment during operations.
  • Assist in identifying and mentoring staff on operational issues, ensuring timely reporting to relevant departments.
  • Stay informed about company updates and ensure their implementation in the field.
  • Be available for on-call duties and respond to job site needs as required.
  • Timely and accurately submit all necessary reports and data.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and facilities to the required standards.
  • Stay current with all training programs specific to the company and third-party requirements.
  • Lead the training and development of field personnel.
  • Provide constructive feedback on employee performance and job execution.
  • Perform any additional tasks necessary to support our Vision, Mission, and Organizational Values.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong quality control principles in perforating, logging, and related operations.
  • Ability to obtain BATFE clearance for handling explosives.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting cased hole operations, tools, and equipment.
  • Capability to operate equipment under various conditions.
  • Familiarity with methods, materials, and tools used in wireline operations.
  • Experience in identifying hazards and implementing safety measures in heavy equipment operations.
  • Solid understanding of DOT and explosives safety regulations.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of cased hole operations.
  • Professional interaction with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and endure varying weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Leadership in meeting job schedules consistently.
  • Strong work ethic and teamwork capabilities.
  • Experience in pressure control equipment operations.
  • Lead pre and post-job inspections of equipment and supplies.
  • Experience in rigging operations on job sites.
  • Expertise in the assembly, maintenance, and operation of job-related equipment.
  • Knowledge of loading, transporting, and assembling perforating and plug-setting equipment.

Physical Requirements

Ensuring the safety of our employees is a top priority. Therefore, applicants must be physically capable of performing essential functions of the Cased Hole Engineer position, including:

  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
  • Engaging in extended periods of sitting, speaking, or listening.
  • Full use of both hands for manipulating tools and controls.
  • Extending arms to reach and manipulate objects.
  • Walking short distances, including over uneven terrain.
  • Performing manual labor that requires physical exertion, sometimes in extreme weather conditions.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED; an undergraduate degree in Geology or Engineering is preferred.
  • A valid class C w/Hazmat CDL license is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety manuals, operational instructions, and policies.
  • Strong communication skills with peers, subordinates, and supervisors.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills in practical field situations.
  • Ability to apply advanced math skills to real-world scenarios.
