Job Summary:

The Athens Independent School District is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures districtwide. You will also maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures
• Assemble and install new plumbing systems and components
• Diagnose and resolve problems with plumbing systems
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of plumbing systems
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations

Requirements:

• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Plumbing License (Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
• Knowledge of plumbing codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written reference material
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems

Working Conditions:

The Plumber will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The Plumber will be required to work in a variety of settings, including district facilities and construction sites. The Plumber will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
