We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pool Caregiver to join our team at Beaumont at Bryn Mawr. As a Pool Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:- Provide basic nursing skills, including assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Manage emergency situations and respond accordingly, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
- Work cooperatively with residents, family members, and colleagues to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Stay up-to-date with current state and federal regulations and ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Assist residents in maintaining their highest level of independence, including physical mobility, activities of daily living, and emotional well-being.
- Participate in care planning, services, programs, and activities with the Personal Care staff.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and calm environment that promotes a sense of community and belonging.
- Follow dietary recommendations and care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for all.
- Assist with recreational activities, such as parties, musical events, games, crafts, and transportation, to promote socialization and engagement.
- Report any changes in resident status to supervisors as necessary.
- Emphasize resident dignity and promote their rights and choices.
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of each shift, documenting care and treatment provided to each resident.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, regulatory agencies, and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be a certified C.N.A. enrolled in good standing in the State of PA.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
