Job Summary:

ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Address issues related to lighting, ballast, fixture leaks, thermostat/temperature control, and MEP repairs.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively for repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Record all relevant data in building logbooks and ensure accurate daily entries.
  • Conduct basic routine MEP repairs and assist with tasks such as surface preparation, painting, minor drywall, and wood trim repair.
  • Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as necessary.
  • Assist in emergency situations as needed, ensuring all work areas are returned to a clean, orderly, and safe condition.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience and/or trade school training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to understand and provide general instructions in standard situations.
  • Proficient in operating manual and power-driven tools.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and/or on-call duties as required.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work extended periods without relief during priority/emergency situations.
