We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic ICU team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-acuity complex care to critically ill adults.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, and create, implement, and evaluate care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, and stay professional in therapeutic connections.
  • Develop and implement care plans that reflect our values and aid in resolving issues.
  • Provide education to patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and community to create a care plan, delegate tasks carefully, and follow up promptly.
  • Use problem-solving strategies with patients, families, and staff, recognizing limitations and prioritizing safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a degree in Nursing.
  • 1 year of ICU RN experience required.
  • Preferred experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon pumps, Impella, post-op heart training, unit council involvement, and ECMO.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
