Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse - Emergency Department to join our team at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emergency department patients
  • Collaborate with emergency department physicians and staff to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory results
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management and treatment protocols
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Louisiana
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 2 years of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 months of hire
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 2 years of hire
  • 1-2 years of experience in emergency department nursing
