About the Role:
Kavaliro is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role that involves both on-site and remote work, with occasional travel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail grocery design and will be responsible for designing mechanical systems used in stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Systems Design: Design mechanical systems used in stores and serve as the primary Mechanical Engineer of Record.
- Construction Documentation: Participate in the design and production of construction documents for new prototypes and site-specific projects.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with current codes affecting mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and fire sprinkler systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid FL Driver's license to operate a motor vehicle (10% travel required).
Experience:
- 10+ Years of Experience: 10+ years as a licensed PE with a focus on retail grocery design.
Technical Skills:
- Software Proficiency: Strong experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier-HAP, Elite-Fire, and Danfoss-Cool Selector.
- Design Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and fire sprinkler design codes/practices.
