Job Summary

As a key member of the NewSpring Church team, the Discipleship Director will be responsible for leading the Discipleship Ministry, developing disciples who make disciples, and creating a culture of spiritual growth and development. This role requires a strong passion for discipleship and a commitment to upholding the ministry standards of NewSpring Church.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy that aligns with the vision and mission of NewSpring Church.
  • Lead and develop a team of discipleship leaders who will help to equip and empower volunteers in the Discipleship Ministry.
  • Recruit and train volunteers to serve in various roles within the Discipleship Ministry, including mentoring, coaching, and group leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Support Discipleship team to develop and implement effective discipleship resources and training programs.
  • Oversee the pastoral care of the campus, including weddings, funerals, and hospital visits.
  • Uphold standards for initial and ongoing training of volunteers, using the resources provided by Support Discipleship.
  • Meet regularly set metrics goals in the areas of Mentoring, Coaching, Groups, and Care.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong passion for discipleship and a commitment to upholding the ministry standards of NewSpring Church.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
