Position Overview:
At Helio Health, we are dedicated to addressing and facilitating recovery from the impacts of substance use, mental health challenges, and various behavioral health concerns. To further our mission, the Practical Nursing Specialist will engage in diverse clinical environments, delivering both medical and therapeutic services as an integral member of our multidisciplinary treatment team. This role operates on a Per Diem basis within Helio Health's Inpatient, Outpatient, or Residential programs.
Compensation: $28.88 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in various clinical environments, providing medical and therapeutic services as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Deliver client services addressing medical concerns.
- Monitor and document clients' medical conditions, signs of withdrawal, and communicate findings to supervisors or medical directors.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure continuity of care for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding clients' medical issues.
- Work directly with clients to provide medical services and clarify medical information.
- Administer direct client care, including medical assessments, execution of medical orders, and reporting of communicable diseases in compliance with legal standards.
- Implement public health initiatives and screening protocols.
- Document and provide medical consultations, assessments, examinations, and treatment planning in alignment with agency policies and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid practical nursing license registered with the New York State Education Department.
- Preferred experience or training in the treatment of substance use disorders.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
