The Mammography Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services within the Breast Center. This position requires adherence to the ACR standards while performing various mammography examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Mammography Examinations: Conduct diagnostic and screening mammographic procedures on patients across all age groups, ensuring professionalism and efficiency.
- Assist in Specialized Procedures: Support breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, and other radiologic-guided interventions.
- Image Preparation: Prepare cases for imaging, including necessary charts and films.
- Quality Control: Participate in quality assurance activities, documenting various tests and analyses as directed by the Chief Mammography Technologist.
- Patient Interaction: Provide education to patients regarding breast self-examinations and pre/post-procedure instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Licensed Mammography Technologist.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care, adapting services to meet the diverse needs of the patient population.
