Job Title: Process Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join our client in Quintana, TX on an initial 6-month contract.

About the Company:

Our client is a major liquefied natural gas (LNG) export company based in the United States. They play a critical role in the global natural gas market by converting and exporting US natural gas to meet international energy demands.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, operate, monitor, and maintain industrial control systems (ICS) in an LNG facility.
  • Provide support for Honeywell Experion and PLC engineering tasks.
  • Assist in the Management of Change process to ensure risks associated with Process Control changes are properly identified and mitigated.
  • Contribute engineering and technical expertise during the creation or revision of Process Control standards, procedures, guidelines, and plans to comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with DCS regulatory control, loop tuning, and basic compressor control systems, including hardware and software such as Honeywell Experion, CCC, and GE Mark VIe.
  • Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) on Process Control equipment to prevent or minimize failure impacts.
  • Support the execution of the Alarm Management program.
  • Develop expertise as a subject matter expert in Process Control Systems engineering and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Participate in engineering standards committees to maintain knowledge of relevant Engineering Codes and Standards, including those related to instrumentation engineering such as NFPA, ISA, and IEC.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of engineering systems, calculations, applications, operations, materials, and computer-based engineering solutions.
  • Communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
  • Facilitate efficient and productive meetings.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work for engineering projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Process Control Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an operational industrial facility.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell Experion, Safety Manager, and PLC systems.
  • Certifications or coursework in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Highly detail-oriented, professional, and dependable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Basic project management and supervisory skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles across multiple disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of cross-functional project execution.
