Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in various units, including inpatient nursing, community living center, dementia unit, hospice, and domiciliary.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on age-specific components and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and customer service programs.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a float pool or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
