Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trailer Repair Technician Apprentice to join our team at Express Employment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will assist experienced mechanics in learning all aspects of trailer repairs in a fast-paced for-hire shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist journeyman-level mechanics in performing trailer repairs, maintenance, and inspections
  • Read and comprehend work orders, with guidance from the shop manager
  • Develop and implement work procedures under the guidance of experienced mechanics
  • Learn the basics of air systems, electrical systems, braking systems, suspensions, body work, and welding
  • Assist in preparing trailers for ODOT inspections and pre-delivery inspections
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a shop environment and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong organizational skills and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork
  • Action-oriented and detail-oriented, with a high energy level
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
