Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

In alignment with the core values of Dignity Health, the Speech Language Pathologist will:

  • Administer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic programs aimed at evaluating and treating patients with communication disorders.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and the public.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage positively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership and teaching capabilities, fostering a supportive learning environment for interns and peers.
  • Participate actively in departmental initiatives and quality improvement activities.
  • Promote speech therapy services within the community as appropriate.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience, showcasing the ability to work autonomously and competently.
  • A current California State license in Speech Therapy (LIC SLP).
  • A valid AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS).
  • Advanced knowledge of departmental practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of relevant standards and regulations, including those set by DHS and The Joint Commission.
  • The ability to interpret data for quality improvement initiatives.
  • A flexible approach to managing caseloads as needed.
