Accounting Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team at Hilo Fish Company, the largest seafood company in Hawaii. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general accounts receivable functions, including preparing and submitting customer invoices, preparing and coordinating deposits, and coding, posting, and receiving payments.
  • General accounts payable functions, including checking, verifying, and processing invoices, sorting, coding, and entering accounts payable data, analyzing discrepancies, and maintaining vendor files.
  • General support functions, including maintaining accounting files and financial records, assisting in month-end reporting procedures, assisting with employee expense reports, and performing filing and general administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in business or accounting is an advantage.
  • 2 years of experience in General Accounting.
  • 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • MS Office and knowledge of accounting software.
Working Conditions:

The Accounting Clerk will work in a normal office environment with a standard 5-day workweek. Some off-island traveling may be required.
