We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Communication Specialist to join our team in North Highlands, CA.

Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school environment, providing vital support to Speech-Language Pathologists and delivering essential services to students with diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to conduct assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language needs.
  • Support the development and implementation of tailored education plans (IEPs) and treatment goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Requirements:
  • An Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
  • Current state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for certification.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and follow direction from supervising SLP.
