The Role
The Senior Technical Engineer position demands a blend of technical acumen and project management skills. This role involves providing essential support at a designated Government site.

Main Responsibilities
1. Deliver on-site assistance for the Government Network Operations Center (NOC) during weekdays.
2. Facilitate necessary coordination, support, and technical guidance to the Customer NOC, ensuring comprehensive situational awareness of all services provided by Lumen.
3. Act as the liaison between Lumen and the Government Point of Contact (POC) concerning both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, as well as incident responses, by identifying affected Lumen transport circuits.
4. Participate in daily Government meetings to relay information regarding maintenance efforts and their implications on the Government Network.
5. Provide NOC support to leverage Lumen transport expertise, ensuring the accuracy of trouble tickets.
6. Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to foster teamwork, trust, and transparency.
7. Analyze issues to ascertain root causes and implement corrective measures.
8. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
9. Maintain proactive updates on assigned tasks, estimate future workload, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

Candidate Profile
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Security Requirements:
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- Must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
- Over 7 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
- PMP Certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Valid driver's license is required.

Compensation
The starting salary for this position varies based on the employee's primary work location. Compensation is influenced by individual qualifications, including experience, education, skills, and certifications.
