POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversee, manage, and coordinate engineering projects within a custom manufacturing setting. Collaborate with clients, fellow engineers, and production staff to identify the most efficient manufacturing techniques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and refine processes and procedures in a custom production environment, including:
- Determining tooling needs for formed, machined, and welded metal components, including fixtures for welding, machining, assembly, and inspection.
- Creating, analyzing, and enhancing Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing plans, and operational instructions.
- Engaging with clients regarding part specifications and requirements.
- Providing cost estimates for customer requests for quotes (RFQs).
- Assessing and planning workforce allocation and workflow to maximize productivity.
- Collaborating with planning and design teams to ensure optimal production methods.
- Estimating production timelines, staffing needs, and associated costs.
