Position Summary

This role reports directly to the Director of Pipeline Commercialization Strategy Finance, providing essential support for the development initiatives within specific therapeutic areas. The primary goal of this position is to deliver financial leadership for vital enterprise processes, including Long Range Planning (LRP), Annual Planning, and Portfolio Prioritization & Asset Governance for Global Pipeline Assets. Additionally, this role entails offering financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and decision-making support to both commercial and financial leadership, while facilitating knowledge transfer from global operations to regional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial planning and analysis for Oncology Pipeline Assets, overseeing annual planning cycles (LRP & Plan) and Portfolio Prioritization & Asset Governance. This requires collaboration with key functional partners such as Forecasting, Vice Presidents, and Global Market Access teams.
  • Create tools to plan, monitor, and evaluate the performance of new assets, including the development of asset-specific commercial models.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to General Managers and Vice Presidents by providing financial insights that support asset strategies, particularly during asset launch preparations.
  • Facilitate the transition of assets between Pipeline Commercialization Strategy and the commercial organization, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and support for regional finance teams.
  • Serve as a strategic partner for key functions, delivering clear narratives and robust financial data for executive review.
  • Contribute to the allocation of R&D funds by providing sound financial inputs and profit and loss statements for pipeline products.
  • Lead ad hoc projects and process enhancements as required.
  • Oversee the Pipeline Commercialization Strategy budget by therapeutic area, identifying risks and opportunities while suggesting potential remediation actions.
  • Develop and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring optimal support for business needs and fostering career development opportunities.
  • Exhibit a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy in executing all responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis within the pharmaceutical industry, across various levels (affiliate, region, area, global).
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex business dynamics into actionable insights for executives.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP and BPC is advantageous.
  • Ability to think strategically and lead processes independently.
  • Proactive mindset with a capacity to challenge the status quo through innovative thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a desire to collaborate and coordinate effectively across the organization.
  • Experience in managing and developing a high-performing team.
