Job Summary:

The Cherokee County School District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Grants & Contract Financial Supervisor. This role will be responsible for providing financial oversight and management of grants and contracts related to advanced learning programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor district data for outcomes in advanced learning programs and provide guidance on serving students in gifted education and advanced course areas.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of a coordinated and consistent instructional program designed to meet the needs of K-12 advanced learning students.
  • Partner with content coordinators to grow effective strategies in advanced learning and expand advanced offerings.
  • Coordinate with School Leadership and Operations, Technology, Accountability, Teaching & Learning, ESOL, and Special Education to enhance advanced learning for all students.
  • Ensure that district standards and resources comply with all state and federal requirements, as well as School Board policies in relation to gifted education and advanced leaning.
  • Work in collaboration with district and school level stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of advanced learning resources and instruction to continuously improve overall student achievement.
  • Review, evaluate, present, and recommend appropriate and innovative instructional processes and materials to ensure the district has the most effective educational resources for advanced learning experiences and achievement.
  • Provide technical and/or consultative support to schools as needed through coaching, modeling, developing instructional strategies or content timelines, and mentoring.
  • Assist in the development of district, innovation zone, and school improvement plans based on analysis of student achievement data.
  • Monitor and provide reporting on fund balances of assigned programs and related financial activity to ensure compliance with district and/or grant/program requirements and timelines.
  • Effectively prepare and present varied required reports, including federal and state grant applications, and action plans, based on accurate data analysis and evaluation of district information and achievement results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education or business administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, such as grants management or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as education or business administration.
  • Experience working in a school district or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to education and grants management.
