Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding support to the APU community. This position is integral in facilitating effective hiring and onboarding processes, alongside various facets of recruitment operations. The Coordinator will generate essential recruitment reports for the talent team and HR Business Partners, manage job requisitions, and ensure job descriptions are current and accurate. Responsibilities also include updating the applicant tracking system, managing job postings across relevant platforms, coordinating background checks, and enhancing the onboarding experience for candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in crafting job descriptions for recruitment purposes, ensuring uniformity across postings.
  • Attract candidates by advertising job openings on diverse job boards and social media.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system, produce reports, and conduct data management.
  • Facilitate reference checks for final candidates prior to job offers.
  • Request background investigations and employment verifications for selected candidates.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation Coordinator to ensure necessary DMV checks for positions requiring driving.
  • Support the onboarding process to ensure all tasks are completed prior to new hires starting.
  • Assist in organizing New Employee Orientation, including material preparation and guest coordination.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge through professional publications and networking.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies.
  • Act as a backup for the Talent Acquisition team during New Employee Orientation sessions.
  • Coordinate participation in career fairs and represent the university as needed.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state laws as well as university policies.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by departmental needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • One to three years of experience in HR recruitment or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM, HR databases, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Proven skills in customer service, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with diverse individuals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a results-driven approach.
  • Experience in recruitment or human resources is preferred.

Compensation
