Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at WorkCare. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health, with experience in managing employee health assessments, addressing work-related injuries, and promoting overall well-being. This is a part-time position, approximately 4 hours per week, with flexibility to work occasional additional hours as needed for employee wellness programs or emergencies.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Health Assessments: Conduct thorough medical assessments to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Work-Related Injuries: Provide prompt medical attention to employees who have suffered work-related injuries, including administering first aid, wound care, and minor medical procedures.
  • Preventive Healthcare: Offer preventive healthcare services, such as vaccinations, health screenings, and wellness education, to promote overall employee health.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Human Resources and Safety teams to assess workplace health risks and implement preventive measures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) with a valid Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an occupational health, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $$80,000 per year, based on national averages for occupational health specialists in the United States. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
