Job Opportunity at Grayson College

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Speech Instructor to join our faculty team at Grayson College. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for teaching SPCH 1311 and/or SPCH 1321 during the Spring 2025 semester.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Taught up to 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Worked collaboratively with the Fine Arts Department as a team member, adhering to faculty responsibilities outlined in the Faculty Handbook and College Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Contributed to campus assessment by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes, aligning with THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
  • Performed additional duties assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Masters degree or higher, with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate-level SPCH or COMM courses.
  • Evidence of recent experience and regular, high-quality work, including teaching assignments in higher education using various instructional modes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, diplomacy, and excellent communication and collaboration skills were required.
  • Physical Requirements: The work was typically sedentary, but may involve occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.

The salary for this position is $675 per credit hour. If you have earned a degree from outside the US, we require a transcript evaluation prior to reviewing your application.
