Job Description

Role Overview

The Client Relations Specialist will play a vital role within the sales division, directly influencing financial outcomes, expansion, and customer satisfaction. This position involves making informed decisions and taking proactive measures to address challenges that hinder the timely fulfillment of quotes and orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional sales managers and representatives to provide essential support.
  • Examine customer orders, confirm accuracy, and submit them for processing.
  • Manage inquiries regarding pricing and lead times, following up on quotes and tracking results.
  • Serve as the primary internal contact for clients, fostering exceptional relationships.
  • Assist with daily logistics, including both incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate the resolution of issues, accounts receivable, and disputes to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work alongside Production and Engineering to enter necessary work orders as required.
  • Engage with team members to devise strategic sales approaches, including contract pricing.
  • Prepare and deliver submittal packages and municipal bids to sales representatives and clients.
  • Handle incoming unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Identify and research potential accounts to develop new sales opportunities.
  • Highlight product/service features and benefits, provide pricing information, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and reports.
  • Input new customer information and update existing account details in the CRM database.
  • Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and coordinate the production of replacement products when necessary.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as trade shows, exhibits, and other promotional events as needed.
  • Participate in periodic sales training sessions as applicable.
  • Ensure the sales process operates smoothly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 2-4 years of experience in inside or outside sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with Quote & Order Management processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and clients.
