Millwright Assistant

Industrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Millwright Helper to join our team. As a Millwright Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and machinery.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery using hand tools and power tools.
• Move and position equipment using hoists, dollies, and rollers.
• Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
• Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, and precision tools.
• Operate engine lathes to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
• Install and modify robots using teach pendants.
• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of tools, machines, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and project rules.

• Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
• Plan work and select proper tools.
• Compare and see differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Perform a variety of duties, which may change often.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.

A high school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or a related area is preferred. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field is required. The ability to work under immediate supervision and follow pre-established guidelines is essential.
