This is a travel medical lab technician position with PHP, a leading healthcare staffing agency. The job involves working as a medical lab technician in a clinical setting, performing various laboratory tests and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other diagnostic tests.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other instruments.
- Prepare and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Record and report test results, including abnormal findings and critical values.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other laboratory personnel, to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Must be certified as a medical laboratory scientist or medical laboratory technician by a recognized accrediting agency, such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Must have at least one year of experience as a medical laboratory technician or equivalent.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
