Job Summary

The Perfusion Nurse Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. This involves working closely with the surgical team to provide high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative period. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
  • Administer medications and maintain anesthesia protocols
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedure execution
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding post-operative care
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification within 30 days of employment start date
