Key Responsibilities

Engage in the Quality Assurance initiatives of the Radiation Therapy Department.

Participate in patient treatment processes involving External Beam and Brachytherapy techniques.

Contribute to various physics-related projects.

Assist with tasks related to Regulatory Compliance.

Support dosimetry in treatment planning for External Beam, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Brachytherapy.

Participate in Radiation Safety activities.

Conduct treatment planning for High Dose Remote Treatments and monitor patients during their treatment sessions.

Qualifications

Education: Master of Science in Medical Physics.

Experience: 3-5 years of clinical experience in Medical Physics, with a preference for expertise in VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, SGRT, and HDR.

Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is required for work-related travel. ABR (or equivalent) certification is highly preferred. Candidates should be actively listed on an existing radioactive materials license and eligible to be an authorized medical physicist under the Iowa Department of Public Health regulations.

Skills: Demonstrated accountability, professionalism, motivation, teamwork, communication, and flexibility are essential.
