Role Summary:
Abidi Solutions is in search of a proficient MES Optimization Lead to facilitate a significant digital transformation project at our manufacturing site. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with a robust background in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to assume a pivotal role in refining and advancing shop floor operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Direct MES project initiatives, including implementation, enhancements, and scheduling for the production floor, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Business Analysis: Supervise and evaluate software development projects related to MES, ensuring comprehensive coverage and identifying any process gaps.
- Process Mapping & Documentation: Develop detailed process flow diagrams, project outlines, and documentation to support project efforts.
- Shop Floor Evaluation: Engage directly on the shop floor to comprehend and assess specifications, pinpointing missing components or areas for enhancement.
- Process Automation: Discover opportunities for automating processes within the MES to optimize operations, minimize errors, and improve quality assurance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst, specifically managing and evaluating at least 3 software development projects involving MES software.
- Industrial Manufacturing: Extensive experience in a complex manufacturing environment, with comfort and familiarity working on the production floor.
- Detail Orientation: High level of organization and meticulous attention to detail, with strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tools Proficiency: Practical experience with MS Project, Visio, and/or DevOps for scheduling, resource management, and progress tracking.
- SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP systems is highly advantageous.
