Key Responsibilities:- Greet and Serve Customers: Welcome customers, make eye contact, and thank each customer you serve.
- Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Provide a friendly, helpful, and easy shopping experience that meets our customers' expectations.
- Project a Professional Image: Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to our dress code.
- Process Transactions: Quickly and efficiently check out customers in a cashier lane.
- Stay Up-to-Date on Regulations: Maintain current knowledge of government regulations regarding WIC orders, food stamps, health department guidelines, alcohol and tobacco sales, and lottery sales (where applicable).
- Promote Sales: Encourage customers to purchase additional items.
- Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure a clean and organized store environment, including the cashier stand and surrounding areas.
- Assist with Inventory: Sack groceries for customers, return products to shelves, and assist with inventory management.
- Count and Handle Cash: Accurately count and handle cash, checks, WIC, food stamps, coupons, and other forms of payment.
- Resolve Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, following through to a resolution.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
- Communication Skills: Possess good communication skills and the ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.
- Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Reliability: Be reliable and able to work independently.
- Physical Abilities: Possess the physical abilities to stand for long periods, walk, bend, twist, and reach, as well as lift and carry items up to 36 pounds.
$12.00/hour
