Behavioral Psychology Expert

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Psychologist to join our team at Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering behavioral psychology services and providing technical expertise to agency staff and providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional behavioral analysis assessments, including clinical observations, data gathering, and review of recommended behavioral interventions and implementation plans;
• Collaborate with staff to implement behavioral programs, reviewing documentation for client functioning and revising programs as necessary;
• Train staff in the effective use of behavior modification techniques;
• Perform ongoing utilization management duties, including authorization of services, ensuring medical necessity, and discharge planning when appropriate;
• Work closely with the Management Team and administration to develop and communicate program outcomes and strategies to achieve identified outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree from an accredited program in Psychology (and licensure or certification by the State of Michigan) is required;
• Education and demonstrated competency in assessment, crisis management, and stabilization, as well as therapeutic care for cognitively impaired adults and individuals with substance use disorders;
• At least one year of work experience in the behavioral health field with mentally impaired adults.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $64,467 - $83,265 per year, based on a 37-1/2 hour work week. Our benefits package includes:
