Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metering Technician to join our team at Georgetown University. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of campus and central plant instrumentation metering instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain campus and central plant instrumentation metering instrumentation
  • Utilize calibration equipment for meter calibrations, including field communicators, laptops, pressure calibrators, RTD simulators, signal generators, and multimeters
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and repair issues with boilers, chillers, steam, chilled water, gas, electric, and hot water instrumentation
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair network communication equipment
  • Maintain detailed maintenance and calibration records
  • Participate in new instrumentation start-ups and commissioning
  • Assist in configuring meter points, history, trends, and alarming in the Data Acquisition system
  • Perform other duties as required to assist in the overall enhancement of the operation
Requirements
  • High school education with a minimum of three years of experience in industrial power plant controls and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
