Job Title: Healthcare Operations Specialist

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Healthcare Operations Specialist at The Arc Oneida-Lewis. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Nursing and nursing staff.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records and databases for informed consents and medical appointments
  • Coordinate with the Director of Nursing for timely completion of POCAs and submission of verification documentation
  • Track medical appointments and ensure proper coverage by working closely with Health Advocates and Residential Coverage team
  • Follow up post-appointment to ensure continuity of care through effective communication with nursing staff

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in healthcare a plus
  • Ability to work independently and function as a team member with a wide range of people
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
