Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have experience working with infants, children, and adolescents, and possess strong clinical skills in pediatrics. Under the direction of our team, the Senior Physical Therapist will evaluate referred patients, plan and administer physical therapy treatment programs, and supervise the clinical skills of staff physical therapists and assistants.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to meet their physical and functional needs.
- Administer various types of physical therapy treatment, including manual therapy techniques, exercise, and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supervise and mentor staff physical therapists and assistants to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the maintenance of departmental equipment and ordering of supplies.
- Assist in identifying and prioritizing department needs and overall planning.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of physical therapy or proof of equivalency.
- Two years of physical therapy experience, or successful completion of an internship program with the hiring department or an equivalent training program and one year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Possession and maintenance of a current valid license as a Physical Therapist issued by the State of California.
- Possession of a current valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance may be required.
- Possession and maintenance of a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate by hire date.
- Some experience working with pediatric patients.
- Live scan fingerprinting clearance may be required prior to appointment.
The Senior Physical Therapist will work in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
