">- About the Role: The Critical Care Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing direct patient care, conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating patient outcomes. You will also participate in educational programs and training sessions to stay current on the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
Responsibilities:
">- Assesses the patient's physiologic health status, including cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological systems.
- Develops and implements individualized plans of care that take into account the patient's unique needs, preferences, and goals.
- Conducts thorough patient interviews, reviews medical charts, and assesses the patient's ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
- Evaluates patient outcomes and makes adjustments to the plan of care as needed.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Provides education to patients and families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
Requirements:
">- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in critical care or related specialty.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
- BLS certification and specialized certifications as needed.
Salary and Benefits:
