Position Overview

Licensed Creative Arts Therapist - Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Services

Full-Time, Part-Time, or Contract Opportunities Available

The Creative Arts Therapist will deliver therapeutic art services within the Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for inpatient and PHP clients on a daily basis, tailored to treatment objectives.
  • Design group therapy activities that address and enhance patients' social, psychological, emotional, and cognitive needs.
  • Complete daily documentation for patients, ensuring notes are finalized on the same day of service.
  • Manage the group therapy schedule effectively.
  • Maintain precise and organized record-keeping.
  • Participate in meetings as required.
  • Keep up with continuing education units (CEUs) necessary for licensure.
  • Engage in case conferences to discuss patient progress.
  • Conduct annual Peer Reviews as part of professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Art Therapy from an institution accredited by the American Art Therapy Association.
  • Possession of a Maryland LCPAT License (Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist).
  • Strong organizational skills and assertiveness.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Health Records.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently while adhering to provided instructions.
