Job Title: Medical Support Specialist

A skilled medical support specialist plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our USA Clinics Group clinics. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our physicians, ensuring patients receive exceptional service.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are required for this position, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations.
  • This role involves working Monday-Saturday at our West Hollywood, Glendale, and Valley Village clinic locations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients, escort them to examination rooms, and assist with form completion as needed.
  • Familiarize yourself with clinic computer systems and adhere to company policies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage multiple phone lines, answering calls in English and Spanish while maintaining professional courtesy.
  • Schedule appointments, accommodate patient needs, and arrange transportation or rescheduling as necessary.
  • Contact insurance companies to verify patient eligibility and resolve any coverage-related issues.
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including copying, filing, faxing, etc., to maintain an organized work environment.
  • Maintain procedure rooms, ensuring they are clean and ready for use at all times to promote a safe and hygienic workspace.
  • Assist doctors during procedures, adhering to instructions and individual preferences to deliver high-quality care.
  • Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterwards to minimize stress and discomfort.
  • Distribute post-procedure instructions and medication information as needed to ensure patient understanding and compliance.
  • Prepares IV solution according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train new staff and assist ultrasound technicians as needed to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly valued but not mandatory.
  • Medical Assistant Certification is also desirable but not essential.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are compulsory for this role.
