In this challenging role, you will provide critical emergency medical care and treatment to patients in need. As a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Marysville Fire District, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, providing medical judgments, and working closely with a team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency incidents involving fire, medical emergencies, and other critical situations.
- Medical Care: Provide initial emergency medical care and treatment to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and stabilizing patients for transport to medical facilities.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians to ensure effective response and patient care.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on emergency medical equipment and vehicles.
- Training and Education: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with the latest medical protocols and procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Three years of experience as a firefighter/EMT or paramedic, with a minimum of one year of full-time paid uniform experience as a paramedic.
- Certifications: Current Washington State Paramedic Certification, IFSAC Firefighter I and II Certifications, Hazmat Awareness and Operations Certifications, and ACLS Certification.
- Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to work in high-stress environments, and proficiency in emergency medical procedures and equipment.
